Sandy needs Vanessa (and his new third) every bit as much as she needs him, though he might not admit it to her in so many words. Even the most hardcore fantasies are infused with reality. When Sandy chains Vanessa to her writing desk and leaves for the day, he ensures her safety by leaving her a key, just in case. Rather than detracting from the fantasy, the elements of authentic attention to safety make the story feel real to a kinkster like me. I savored every second of this novelette, and have earmarked a few choice bits to read to my dominant on some not-too-distant night.
